I am a Tennessee-based freelance orchestral arranger and orchestrator. My works and arrangements have been commissioned and performed by orchestras in the United States, the most recent of which were the Jackson Symphony Orchestra in Jackson, Tennessee, and the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra in Savannah, Georgia. I have also worked with smaller ensembles, soloists, choirs, and within different genres of music.

I recently completed a song cycle based on the poetry of 18th-century poet, Matthew Arnold. The five-piece set, "Faded Leaves," is written for soprano and strings and features soprano Dr. Stacey Stofferahn. She performed one of the pieces, "Longing," with the New York Chamber Players and Maestro Giacomo Franci at Carnegie Hall's Weill Auditorium in November of 2023.

I play piano and have a background in orchestration and arranging music. Years ago, I studied business in college, but I dedicated my electives to music theory and orchestration while continuing to study classical piano with professors outside of school. Over the years, I have pursued self-study and collaborated with contemporary and classical performers and conductors.

I enjoy live orchestral music, and that's what I write. There is nothing like hearing live music performed by musicians who have dedicated their lives to bringing this art form to life. To the extent a piece of my music can be played by musicians who then get paid to play at a concert and introduce orchestral music to new audiences, then I am even more grateful.

I am proud to be a founding board member of The American Institute for Music and Healing. https://www.theaimh.org/
